My migratory nature started at age three when I was moved to Uganda’s capital city Kampala. While at secondary school, Idi Amin captures power and my guardian goes into exile. Two months later, my mother died and the family saw dark days. I joined University, where with the Travelling Theatre, we traversed the whole of Uganda and parts of Western Kenya up to the capital, Nairobi. While at University, I started working at Uganda Television and went to cover a motor rally that run through Uganda and Rwanda. One evening, I was in charge of programme transmission at Uganda Television, when, a hand grenade was hurled at Amin, triggering off my odyssey to Kenya, Tanzania and Europe.
