I train in TV production but work opportunities are scarce. Unable to get a television job, I join German railways taking me across most of Western Europe. My fiancée joined me from Uganda, we got married, pursued studies at the University of Hamburg and started a family that nearly perished in a terrorist attack. An errant woman tells the police in Hamburg that I kidnapped and possibly murdered her former Ghanaian companion. We miss the fall of the Berlin wall on TV because we had to be evacuated from our apartment which caught fire that day.
